To have a robust and better educational
facilities in Lagos, Dr. Mrs. Olufunso Owasanoye has reiterated that every child in Lagos state must have
access to quality basic education, vis-a-viz standard educational infrastructure and service delivery.
This statement was contained in her speech

She said, “HDI as a Not for Profit and
non-governmental organization has the vision to strengthen vulnerable humans in
the society, especially children through development programs and initiatives. Our
organization also supports and strengthens existing Local Government and State-wide
school services and project monitoring mechanisms while strongly advocating for
Transparency, Accountability and Good Governance (TAGG) in the Education sector
all over Nigeria.”
Also, The Executive Director, Human
Development Initiatives, Dr. Olufunso Owasanoye as described monitors as Ambassadors
of both Human Development Initiatives and the Lagos State government in
monitoring UBE projects.
Olufunso has implored the monitoring group
to go back to their respective communities and apply the knowledge gained,
deploy the monitoring tools, report their findings to the organization through
the platforms they have made available to them and should also engage their local
education administrators for a better and robust educational system in Lagos.
“I
implore you to put in your best and write your name in gold. Shun any form of argument
or collection of bribes from contractors on site; if you do so, there are grave
consequences.” She said.
Also, she has called on the media for
adequate reportage of the monitoring of SUBEB projects
in Lagos State.
