Domestic election observers on Friday said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC ) and Police Command in kebbi State have assured that the supplemtary election slated for Saturday in the state would be credible and transparent.
It said "The leadership of INEC has assured Nigerians of conducting a transparent and credible supplementary elections in kebbi State".
Mr Romania Azubuike of Center for Strategy Ethics and Values who addressed journalists on behalf of the group said while observing the distribution of sensitive materials at the INEC office in Birnin Kebbi, the national commissioner in charge of voters education, Mr Festus Okoye also assured Nigerians that no INEC officials would compromise the elections and anyone that goes against the commission's rules will be dismissed and prosecuted.
The elections observers said supplementary elections in the country are always marred by voters aparty, it therefore, enjoined electorates to come out enmass to cast their votes for the candidates of their choice.
While calling on stakehoders in the elections to play by the game, the group enjoined electorates not to sell their votes because their vote is their power.
