One of Nigeria most sought after in Islamic music, Alhaji Ibrahim Labaeka, who also serves as the special assistant Artiste to Kwara State governor, Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Rasaq has enjoined members of National Rescue Movement to support the return of the incumbent governor and also work for the success of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the state.
The statement was made by Ibrahim Labaeka during
the meeting he had with the stakeholders of the Kwara State Chapter of the
NATIONAL RESCUE MOVEMENT (NRM), a political party he sought to join forces with
the ruling APC in the state to support Asiwaju BOLA Hammed Tinubu and the
re-election of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasak for second term.
Labaeka, a top Islamic Act had engaged in discussion
with the state party Chairman, Comrade Atolagbe Abdullahi who had been the
chairman of NDMG, a political group in the state for the past 5 years that later colluded forces with NRM 3 years ago
and become a formidable force in the state.
The stakeholders meeting was held at PAKE Primary School,
Ipata, Ilorin recently, while arrangements are ongoing to receive the members
of NRM of Kwara state in APC anytime soon, a close source said.
Part of the success of the meeting was a meaningful
representation by the state executive members, senatorial and local government.
