2023 elections: Get your PVC now, and vote APC – Lagos lawmakers

The forty lawmakers of the Lagos State House of Assembly has emphasised to the public, the vital importance of their obtaining Permanent Voters' Card (PVC) for eligible voters to exercise their franchise, in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

This was the theme of the 8th Lagos Assembly Annual Constituency Stakeholders' Meeting that was held simultaneously in all the 40 constituencies on Thursday, June 30.

The keynote address was premised on a recent INEC report showing that over 20 million PVCs still remain uncollected across the nation, and out of this huge figure, 1 million are from Lagos State, while many are still clamouring for the extension of the PVC registration deadline.

At the LTV 8 premises, Ikẹja, where Honourable Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, hosted members of his constituency, he charged the attendees not to procrastinate any longer on collecting their PVCs.

After giving the Keynote address, he took time to read and spoke appreciately about  the nomination of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and asked the people to use their PVC in ensuring victory for the party at all levels.

"Our appeal to our people is that they should go and get their PVC, because this is the only way they can exercise their franchise.

"Without your PVC, you cannot really demonstrate your support for your choices candidate, so, we implore you all to endeavor to get your voters card so that we can collectively chose those who will pilot the affairs of our nation going forward" he appealed.

Hon. Kasunmu also said he would do all that is required to bring more benefits of democracy to his people, and promised that what they stand to enjoy in his third term would nothing comparable to benefits they have had.

The lawmaker used the opportunity to promise his constituents better representation in the next assembly while they keep on giving their supports.

Hon. Kasunmu also used the occasion to appreciate the monarchs, party leaders and various associations and groups, and the people of Kosofe constituency II for his victory at the last primary election.
