Kebbi PDP Delegates List Crisis: Party Members Ask Appeal Panel For Justice

Aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State have urged the Appeal Panel Committee set up by the national body of the party to look into the irregularities and manipulation in the state delegates list particularly in Nasarawa 1 Ward and do justice to the authentic party members whose names are removed from the list.

Some of the party members who spoke to journalists in Birnin Kebbi over the issue said those whose names were allegedly removed from the list on the order of a former minister who is based in Abuja are the personalities that could help the party to win elections in Kebbi state.

A chieftain of the PDP in Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Usman Bello said "We want the appeal panel committee and the national body of our party to do justice to the authentic party members whose names were removed from the delegates list if PDP must win elections in Kebbi state.

"Those who connived with the former minister to remove the names of authentic members of our party from the delegates list are currently working against PDP interest in Kebbi state.

"We want the national body of PDP to investigate their activities. That was how they removed Mai Doki, an influential PDP member in Kebbi South from the list, they also removed general Ishaya Bamaiyi as a board member of the party just to weaken our party for their anointed aspirants in the APC to win elections against the PDP in Kebbi state".

The aggrieved members also alleged that there are plans by those working against the interest of the PDP in Kebbi state to impose weak and relatively unknown personalities as PDP governorship candidates for their anointed aspirants in the APC to have an easy win in the coming governorship election in the state.

"We urge the leadership of PDP to investigate their activities and move against them before it's too late", the group said.
