No fewer than 74 aspirants have so far collected and submitted the nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest Kebbi State House Assembly Election.
While speaking to journalists at the party secretariat in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday, the state organizing secretary of the APC in Kebbi State, Alhaji Abdullahi Mai Angwa said three women and two people living with disabilities are among the 74 aspirants that have obtained the APC nomination and expression of interest forms for the state house of assembly election
"As you are aware the party nomination form is free for women aspirants. Only the expression of interest form that women and people living with disabilities are expected to pay N500,000 to obtain for the state house of assembly election", he said.
He added that only one aspirants, Alhaji Abubakar Malam has so far obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms for the governorship election. "He is the only aspirants that has come to the party secretariat to notify and show us his forms"
Alhaji Mai Angwa said for the senate and house of representatives, no aspirants have come to the party secretariat to submit their forms or notify them of the collection of their nomination and expression of interest forms.
He also hinted that time is still available for aspirants to obtain the party nomination form as national body of the party has extended dates for the collection and submission of the forms.
