COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: ERELU ADEOLA ORISILE FOUNDATION REACHES OUT TO HER PEOPLE IN FULL FORCE

Erelu Afedeshewa of Oruba Ota, Chief Mrs Kafayat Adeola Orisile, a versatile Broadcaster has fed over 250 less privileged and vulnerable in her community as part of efforts to cushion the effect of hunger during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Chief Adeola Orisile's quest with her foundation, Orisile Humanitarian Foundation have been to cater for people and make life meaningful to all and sundry.
She said Orisile Humanitarian Foundation is all about catering for the needy and taking care of the aged and vulnerable. This has always been a thing of joy to us and as such; informed our decision to reach out to our people at this point in time.

Beneficiaries of the food items, while receiving the hand of fellowship, thanked Chief Orisile and her foundation for remembering them at a time like this that the

‘chips are down’ and they can barely afford to feed themselves as a result of the ‘sit at home’ order by President Muhammad Buhari.

They added that initiatives like this would capture the needy, aged, less privileged and vulnerable as against the move by Ogun state governor to reach out to the poor and needy which ‘has been hijacked by some political bigwigs for their own political gains’.

It will be recalled that the Ogun State government had earlier made provisions for 100, 000 out of the 500, 000 targeted households

across the state, a move which has been described by some people as ‘not satisfactory’ in that many, less privileged people did not benefit from the initiative by the governor.

Ogun state is currently in lockdown as a result of the corona-virus pandemic which is currently bedevilling the country and the world at large.

Chief Mrs Kafayat Adeola Orisile is a versatile broadcaster and a high Chief in Awori kingdom.
