Having worked in different organization in all sphere of media marketing, the MD/CEO of Royal Court Concepts is thus a right hand in the business of production of content, its showcase on-air and the right hand when it comes to having maximum compliance on advert placement.
In this interview with our medium, Adeyemi has all the facts that could make the chains of media marketing (Content Production, Television, media Agency, and compliance) work in Nigeria.
In his words, he said, “My name is Sam Ojo Adeyemi, I am the MD/CEO of Royal Court Media Concept, my media experience dated back to when I joined an organization with the name Media Track having graduated some years back.
“I had a great tutelage under The MD of the company, Mr Dele Oyewole, he was a technocrat whose level of intelligence has really done so much for those of us that passed through him. I was in the company for a decade, also plying almost everywhere in Nigeria as high profile personnel.”
Adeyemi Ojo in his quest to understand the trick behind content production made him joined a television Content production company in 2009, AK MEDIA. He said, “I worked for the company for a decade and left as Agm Operations.
Though now fully running my own organization, but I still consult for the company, because of the owner, Asiwaju Benson Akindeju was a wonderful man, whose legacy we all treasured and would continue to do our best to make it flies.”
In his reaction towards the future of Content Production in Nigeria, Adeyemi said, “Content Production will develop more in Nigeria. With the advent of digitization, many good contents will continue to emerge and those that really understand the job will be able to maximize the little opportunity that is available while those that rushed in will definitely rush out, its just a simple arithmetic.”
He stressed further that, many around now are not trained, “It's not about having money and dabbling into the business, content production has its chains, and this includes, the fund, television stations; media Agency and compliance aspect of the business. These are major things that play an important role if one would succeed in the business. Fund to shoot Content, Television stations to air it and media partners one would enjoy patronage from. Also, the judiciary of media marketing, which is the compliance outfit, that is the media trackers. The organization is necessary in order to have sanity and value for every fund clients put on their brands to be known and be accepted by the public.
"Also, producers should live a decent and meaningful life. The act of paying stations their dues should be a priority to every serious producer. The attitude of 'Eat all' and owing television stations
lots of money have made many producers bankrupt and are nowhere to be found today in the trade of content production for TV Stations.
“If one could stay out of trouble and be mindful of doing the right thing, business is good and without all these, one needs to think twice before going into content production. You must come out with good content and be conversant with television stations across the country. Also, you must be familiar with the media agency and be ready to maintain great compliance of jobs given to you and always pay television station their dues.”
Royal Court is a content production company owned by this accountant turned producer, the media outfit deals with television drama series production, radio programs and also plans to go into outdoor media.
Adeyemi said, “Our intention is to build a media world where the incoming generations would have the privilege to develop their skills and become an entrepreneur. We intend to have a Royal Radio and Royal TV and make entertainment a good business.
“Presently, we have Sweet Tales on television stations across Nigeria. Also on our stable are the following, Pains and Pleasure, a drama series and Royal Sports on Radio and Television, also Entertainment Galore on both radio and television.”
In his remarks as regards the secret behind his success, he said, “We always work round the clock to make sure we deliver 100% compliance of any job given to us. We believe in absolute monitoring of contents sent to stations for airing. We do not go to bed until somebody on the ground confirms that our content is aired, that is for those outside Lagos and the channels in Lagos, we have no other jobs than seeing what is on every television station in Lagos and this has really helped us to develop well.”
