The Federal Ministry of Health has officially appointed Doyin Bademosi, Founder and CEO of Durotimi AI, to the Technical Working Group (TWG) for the National Cancer Control Plan (NCCP) as the Chairman of the Cancer Data, AI and Digital Health Subcommittee. In this advisory capacity, Doyin Bademosi will contribute to the digital transformation of Nigeria’s cancer surveillance, early detection protocols, and the integration of artificial intelligence into the national oncology framework.
As Nigeria continues to strengthen its response to the rising burden of cancer, the NCCP serves as the strategic roadmap for improving patient outcomes nationwide. Mr. Bademosi’s appointment signals a significant shift toward data-driven, equitable care. He will specifically advise on implementing digital ecosystems that can function within Nigeria’s unique infrastructural realities.
"To move the needle on cancer survival in Nigeria, we must move beyond generic technology and embrace Localized Intelligence," said Doyin Bademosi. His work within the TWG will focus on ensuring that digital health interventions are interoperable, ethically grounded, and optimized for local demographics.
The inclusion of private-sector expertise in the NCCP highlights the Ministry’s commitment to public-private collaboration in tackling complex health challenges.
Mr. Bademosi brings over a decade of experience in health technology architecture, with a proven track record of designing and scaling innovative clinical solutions.
In addition to his leadership at Durotimi AI—headquartered in Minnesota, USA, with its European base in Ireland—he is the founder of Radmol AI and a recognized member of the Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate alumni network.
