Many who are not familiar with his daily engagements might find this hard to believe, but the truth remains that Ambassador Sule Adio Atawewe popularly known as Etu or Akile Fuji is undoubtedly one of the busiest and most hardworking Fuji musicians in Nigeria today.
To those on the outside, this may seem like mere hype or an attempt to overrate him, but anyone who follows Atawewe closely, especially on social media knows otherwise.
For years, I have been an ardent follower of Atawewe's official Facebook page. This has given me direct insight into his daily activities and performance schedule. From what I’ve observed, Atawewe performs at least five times a week , sometimes even more. His calendar is consistently packed with shows, ranging from social engagements.
Let me state it categorically and without any fear of contradiction: Baba Oloye is one of the most booked and consistently performing Fuji artists in Nigeria. Yet, despite this, he remains one of the most underrated.
Perhaps it’s his humility, or maybe the quiet consistency with which he has built his career — but the recognition he truly deserves still lags behind. Those in the know can testify: Atawewe is a force in the Fuji music industry, terrifying on the mic, yet underappreciated in the mainstream narrative.
