N-HYPPADEC MD warns staff against sabotage, calls for renewed vigour

The National Hydro-Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, N-HYPPADEC, Managing Director, Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa has warned management staff of the commission against sabotage that may undermine the mandate given to it.


The HYPPADEC MD, during a consultative meeting held in Birnin Kebbi to reappraise its performance and chart a new course of action with renewed vigour said the staff should avoid rumour mongering but strive to embrace good working collaboration to sustain honesty, collaboration, dedication and imbibe the importance of unity for the success of the commission.


Yelwa who was reappointed for the second term as MD of the commission by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said with his return the commission has bounced back with determination, commitment and focus to discharging its mandate of uplifting the wellbeing of communities in consonance with its operational guidelines.



"The communities long neglected have now found a voice, HYPPADEC has shown that the government cares about the entire citizenry",


He said they are at the meeting to review progress and challenges, chart a renewed path of service with vigour and determination, to lay strong foundation for service delivery.

"This is my maiden official meeting with the National Heads, State Coordinators and Area Officers, since my reapportionment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu", he said.


The Director of Finance and Administration, Dr. Jimoh Haruna Gabi, thanked the staff and management for their support during his acting capacity as the MD.
