Kebbi Govt To Support Integrated Supportive Supervision On State Healthcare Facilities

State State Government has said it will do everything possible to create a budget line and ensure release of funds for integrated supportive supervision of healthcare facilities across the State.


The State Commissioner of Health, Comrade Yunusa Musa Ismail made this known at a one day programme organized by Better Life Restoration Initiative, a project funded by USAID, which held at Saffar Guest In, Birnin Kebbi.


He explained that the present administration of Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) has prioritized health sector development for the good of its citizens.


He noted that arrangement is on for the recruitment of five hundred health professionals that will fill the gap of inadequate workforce in the state health Sector.


Comrade Yunusa Musa recalled that he participated in many Integrated supportive supervision when he was the Chairman of Medical and Health Workers Union assuring that the ministry under his watch will do everything possible to revive that for the betterment of the health sector in the state.


He assured the NGOs of adequate support and cooperation towards achieving their set goals in kebbi State.


Earlier, the Programme Manager, Better Life Restoration Initiative, Ogade Mike Ogbonna said they are in the State to partner with the State Government towards strengthening its health system and as well improving the healthcare service delivery through Integrated supportive supervision of healthcare facilities in the State.


He called on the Ministry of Health to establish technical working group on ISS so that the outcomes of the exercise will be addressed amicably towards strengthening the health system of the state.


The program manager commended the state government for prioritizing the health sector of the State.


The initiative of creating TWG on ISS if fully implemented will no doubt address alot of wrongdoings and strengthen the state health sector across the State.


Also, if the state government employ additional professional and qualified health workers, it will address the gap of inadequate workforce in the health sector.
