Governor Idris appoints Kangiwa Chairman of KSPHDA

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) has approved the appointment of Haruna Abdullahi Kangiwa as Chairman of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency(KSPHDA).

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Yakubu Bala Tafida and issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

The release states that the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Abubakar Muhammad will serve as Secretary of the board, while Commissioners of Health, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and that of Finance will serve as members. 

The Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, State ALGON Chairman, Representatives of Private Healthcare Providers and  that of Traditional Rulers will also serve as members.

The release states that the representatives of the Civil Society Organization and that of Medical and Health Workers Union will as well serve as members of the board.

It said the appointments is with immediate effect starting from six of June, 2024.

 

The appointments by the State Government will enable the Chairman and his team to lead the Board of Directors of the agency through strategic planning and oversight, appointing and everluating the Chief Executive Officer as well as ensuring good cooperate governance and facilitating effective communication withing the agency.

The new leadership will also avail the agency the opportunity to execute various policies and programmes for the overall development of the agency and state health sector.
