The Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) in Kebbi State has distributed sensitive materials to Dandi, Arewa, Yauri,Shanga and Ngaski local government areas of Kebbi State for the rerun and bye elections to be conducted in the state on Saturday.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Abubakar Sarkin Pawa said all the political parties to take part in the elections honoured INEC invitation to witness the distribution exercise.
He also commended security agents in the state for giving INEC the necessary support to achieve a hitch free election on Saturday.
On Saturday, bye elections will be held in 25 polling units and12 wards of Dandi/ Arewa federal constituency.
The rerun elections was ordered by the court of appeal against APC candidate earlier declared as the winner by INEC in the 18th of March, 2023 general election to achieve a margin lead.
Bye election in Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski Federal Constituency was occasioned by the exit of the APC candidate who won in the last year's election, Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu to accept ministerial appointment.
While addressing coalition and returning officers for the elections, Sarkin Pawa warned them to be upright and work for the success of the election in line with INEC guidelines.
