Just like a viral monster, the matter refuses to die as many indigenes of ondo state have shown interest in the matter. They want to know who wants to govern them in the next dispensation. They believe, in this time and age that someone without proper education can not govern them.
Lucky Ayedatiwa claims to have obtained his WAEC certificate from Ikosi High Schoool, Ketu in 1982. This is contrary to the claim of the school which was established in 1980. It means he wrote WEAC in form two. Is this possible?
Another critical issue of concern, he also claims to have obtained Advanced Diploma from the University of Ibadan in 2001. Alas! According to the authority of the school, University of Ibadan has not commenced this program in 2001.
The Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, as a public officer needs to come out and answer questions on the allegation of certificate forgery. He can’t be sending his cronies to social media or radio stations in his defence. He should come out and clear these critical allegations.
The people of ondo have history of governors without certificate saga since the inception of political activities in this state. Ondo state political stakeholders are not ready to support a celebrated mediocre who has psychological issues arising from improper education. We don’t want our governor to look inferior in the comity of governors. This is going to be a competitive election, so, any political party that picks a controversial candidate or a liability does that at its own peril.
The PDP should not be taken for granted by the ruling party. If they think the PDP is dead because of their present situation, it is a party with nine lives. It will resurrect at the nick of time. Therefore, the APC as a party must not take this matter with levity as the opposition is watching like a dreaded lion waiting to devour its prey.
