Over 211,699 people have benefited from the national cash transfer under the 'Renewed Hope Cash Transfer' in collaboration with Kebbi State cash transfer unit.
The Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs who represented Governor Nasiru Idris at the one day refresher training for the local government areas cash transfer facilitators in Birnin Kebbi said the enrollment targets 160,708 beneficiaries from the national social register and an additional 51,258 from the rapid response register.
He said the state cash transfer unit will kick start the enrollment process for the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Program to bring financial relief to vulnerable citizens in the state.
"The enrollment will be actively ongoing in all the 21 local government areas and in 71 wards in 3,308 communities across the state", he said.
Earlier, the Enrollment and Beneficiaries Management Officer at the national office of the cash transfer in Abuja, Muhammed Nuru Adam said the essence of the training for the facilitators in kebbi State is to enable them go back to their respective local governments and carry out the cash transfer enrollment and disbursement to beneficiaries in line with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
