The Kebbi State Pilgrim Welfare Agency (PWA) has called on those who intend to perform the 2024 Hajj to pay up their Hajj fair within two weeks.
The Executive Chairman of the State PWA, Alhaji Musa Yaro Enabo while addressing journalists upon assumption of office at the headquarters of the agency said the Saudà Arabian authorities and it's Ministry for Haj operations have made laws regarding the opening and closing of its Visa Portal to intending pilgrims across the worid three months before the commencement of hajj operations.
He said the pilgrim agency would soon commence registration, payment and airlift of pilgrims for the lasser hajj operation for the benefit of the people of the state as the agency had obtained liecence to operate.
He also charged staff of the pilgrim welfare agency to desist from fraudulent activities such as denying intending pilgrims hajj seats they had paid for.
He lamented over how pilgrims having paid for hajj fair running into millions of naira at the local government Pilgrims office but were later denied opportunity to embark on Hajj and their monies not paid back to them.
"This practice would no longer be tolerated henceforth. We will run this agency with transpancy. Any staff indulging in this fraudulent act must desist from it, he said.
He warned that, any staff of the agency caught in such fraudulent activities would be dismissed.
