The Osun State Chapter of The Golden Movie Ambassadors Association of Nigeria (TGMAAN) held its election on Saturday 6th of May 2023 in Oṣogbo, Osun State, Nigeria.
Accreditation started around 12pm, after which the process commenced with an opening charge by the Executive Director of Arts and Culture, Ọ̀ṣun State, Mrs. Olori Abolarin Christiana. In her address, she reminded contestants that it is only an election, where all candidates cannot emerge as the winner, hence, there should not be enmity in whatever form. Rather, they should all work in cooperation for the upliftment of the association.
She also promised to be available for the association anytime, as her doors
would be readily open to accommodate film practitioners.
Ambassador Saidi Balogun, the National President of the Association also charged the Oṣun chapter to let their choices reflect the values of unity, professionalism, and mutual advancement to project TGMAAN in a positive light to the world.
The election started around 3:30pm and was concluded around 5:30pm.
It ended on a congratulatory note for the winners.
