Juju icon and veteran musician, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi was at his old best last week in Oke-Ona Egbaland in Abeokuta last Sunday as American socialite, Bolaji Egberongbe was capped, Aare Majeobaje, and his beautiful wife, Baliqueez Omowunmi Egberongbe as Yeye Majeobaje of Oke-Ona, in Egba kingdom, Ogun State.
The chieftaincy ceremony which took place at Osile palace with His Royal Highness, Oba Adedapo Tejuosho, the Osile of Oke-Ona Egba also bestowed different chieftaincy titles to some prominent sons and daughters of Oke-Ona Egbaland.
Egberongbe who was full of joy, could not hold back his happiness as he confirmed that, "The rulership of HRM Oba Adedapo Tejusoho, has recorded many achievements, and giving titles to industrious sons and daughters of Oke-Ona Egba is another avenue to bring us together to talk about the development of our kingdom"
Speaking further, he said he will forever appreciate the king for counting him worthy of bestowing him with a unique title as he has also promised his commitment to the development of Oke-Ona Egbaland.
The event which was wrapped up at the conference hall, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta with much glitz and paparazzi welcomed many dignitaries in the society who dance to the ever-green lyrics supplied by Chief Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, who took the esteemed visitors to the good old days of his music of late 70s and early 80s.
