Kebbi State Deputy Governor Col Samaila Yombe Dabai (rtd) has raised alarm over his pictures that are currently appearing in the campaign posters of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in strategic areas of the state as running mate to the Party's gubernatorial candidate.
While addressing journalists in Birnin Kebbi at the weekend, Yombe said the development was the handiwork of some mischievous elements to discredit him as a loyal APC member and deputy governor of the state.
The deputy governor during the press briefing said "Using my pictures to campaign as running mate to PDP's gubernatorial candidate is indeed laughable.
"The truth is that I have never been in any political party in my life. APC is my first political journey and I remain resolute to its victory even after leaving office.
"When I show the posters to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu we both laughed over it", he said.
While distancing himself from the posters, he said it was misleading and warned that those behind it should not allow themselves to be used against his person for selfish reasons.
The Deputy Governor described the APC presidential rally held in the state on Saturday as a clear victory roadmap ahead of the February presidential election. He said Tinubu's victory in the elections would open doors of economic opportunities for Kebbi State.
