Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams has charged the Oodua People's Congress (OPC) newly decorated National Commander of the Marshall Department, Chief Babatunde Joseph to live up to expectations in the discharge of his duties.
The Yoruba generalissimo stated this recently in Lagos,at the official decoration of the national commander of the Marshall department.
Iba Adams who is also the National Coordinator of the OPC restated the need to inject new officials into the security architecture of the group, saying OPC has been rebranded into a group that has national appeal and outlook.
He added that the people of the south west look up to the group during critical period.
"We have improved on our structure and activities in all areas.That has made the OPC a group with national outlook.
"Therefore,you must make sure you live up to the expectations as the national commander of the marshall department.
"Your official decoration today is a call to duty and I am sure with your experiences over the years,you will be a good ambassador of the group",the Yoruba generalissimo said.
Expressing delight at the promotion chief Joseph said he was happy that the organization under the leadership of the Aareonakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams entrusted him with such a sensitive position, adding that he would do everything that is possible to raise the bar in service delivery.
Chief Joseph urged members of his Marshall Department to remain committed to the ideals of the group, saying the new position has offer the marshall department the opportunity to work at the highest echelon of the organization.
"My duty as the National Commander of the Marshall Department is very clear as a top member,whose role is to back up and support all the security architecture of the Oodua People's Congress.It is my duty also to combat crime and offer rescue mission efforts during crisis period and I am confident that I will perform the duty to the best of my ability.
"I plan to forge ahead in my duty and responsibility without fear or favour. It is my plan to discharge my duties honourably.
"I want to appeal to all our members to remain committed to the ideal of this organization as that is the only reason why I have been promoted to be their ambassador at the highest decision making organ of the organization."
