KECHEMA Boss Tasks Newly Inaugurated Gateways Committee On Synergy, Commitment

The Executive Secretary, Kebbi State Contributory Health Management Agency (KECHEMA), Dr. Jafar Muhammad Augie has charged the newly inaugurated gateways committee members to always consider synergy and consultation before taking decisions on their assigned responsibilities and duties.

He also urged them to be sincere in the discharge of their duty bearing in mind that, they are working for the effective and efficient health service delivery to people of Kebbi state.

The KECHEMA boss gave the charge during the inauguration of the State Basic Health Care Provision Fund Gateways Forum in Birnin Kebbi.

Dr Augie said the essence of the gateways committee of the State Primary Health Development Agency and the State Contributory Health Care Management Agency, is to promote synergy among the gateways and to agree on a common goal for the achievement of their set objectives.

While speaking at the occasion, representatives of the National Primary Health Development Agency and that of the NHIS Dr. Aisha Senchi in their separate speeches pledge to support the forum to  towards achieving the set standard of Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) as well as setting a goal to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

The Act which established the BHCPF  prescribed that it would be funded through the federal government annual grant of not less than one percent of its consolidated revenue, grants by the International donor partners and funds from other sources.
