Former Kebbi State head of Civil Servive Abubakar Hudu-Idris has won the Peoples' Redemption Party (PRP) governorship ticket.
He defeated the state chairman of the party, Sani Daudu-Tadurga, to emerge the flag bearer of the PRP in Kebbi State.
While announcing the election result on Sunday, the of the electoral committee of the party, professor Tukur Mohammed-Baba said Allhaji Hudu-Idris scored 70 votes to defeat Alhaji Daudu-Tadurga, who polled 20 votes.
Professor Muhammed Baba declared that 92 delegates were accredited for the primary election but two votes were invalid.
He stated the delegates, party exco and stakeholders exhibited a high level of maturity, discipline and decorum during the hitch free primary election.
