Nothing could best describe the glitz spice and glamour coupled with paparazzi that enliven the atmosphere when the buddies of State High School Alimosho, Ipaja road Lagos rekindle their old good days of secondary school for three days of explosive celebration that started with the seven days Fidau prayer on Friday 20th of May, 2022, for the mother of one of their own, Toyin Bankole who lost her mother, Alhaja Airat Adetayo Bankole, the Olori Alasalatu of Mosan Central Mosque, Ipaja Lagos to the cold hands of death on the Friday 12th May, 2022 and was buried same day according to Islamic rites.
Also, came up was the Nikai ceremony of Ganiyu Nasiru on Saturday, then the climax celebration at the Ramosa Recreational Park in Olayemi area of Ayobo, Ipaja Lagos.
The Friday fidau prayer that kicked start the three days explosive celebrations of the buddies saw the likes of the buddies governor, Omotayo Agbogun leading the other excos like Murphy Ajibade Alabi ( Asst General Secretary) Oyinlola Anjou ( General Secretary) Alhaja Omotunde Owode ( PRO). And what a day it was to be as Onitigbo of Tigbo, Oba Olabode Thomas land also arrived at the venue with his full entourage. This did sparkle up the atmosphere as Kabiyesi arrival complimented the presence of other buddies like Prince Bayo Adeotan, Gabriel Ogbum, Abass Aruna, Muiz Akinola, and Paul Itamoh ( The man-mountain goalkeeper of the buddies), Funsho Infinity (Yinka Aiyefele right-hand man ). The ladies too were not in short figures. Omotola Obe aka Ebony, Alhaja Quimot flew all the way from Abuja, Olori Falilat, Ebun Adebayo Lucas, Debora Bamgboye, Dupe Ogunfunwa, and Toyin Jacobs all made the ceremony memorable.
And this must have inspired Folake Omotosho who instantly invited the buddies to an "impromptu" get-together for Sunday right in her husband well structured and imposing Ramosa Recreational Park in Ayobo Lagos. And the park which is one of the handfuls of segregated Recreational areas in Lagos State was a perfect venue for pre get together party for the buddies.
Tayo Agbogun the governor stated thus "It's always fun to be together with your childhood friends from secondary school. We are talking about 35 years ago. So it's God's grace"
Folake Omotosho on her own couldn't hold back her joy as she shared this, "It is a thing of joy. I was overwhelmed with what I saw on Friday during the fidau prayer of the mother of my friend, Toyin. I was like waoh. It will be interesting to host the buddies on very short notice before traveling back. So I approached the secretary General and her Assistant in the persons of Oyinlola Anjou and Murphy Ajibade Alabi and pronto it was sealed. I must confess it's one of the happiest days in my life seeing my secondary schoolmates playing around and throwing banters. In fact, it was fun. And the DJ was perfect, giving us old skools music. I am just too happy. Can't wait to host the guys again." She concluded.
