Malami Guber Declaration: Supporters/Associates boost Ambition with N130m

Supporters and associates of the Minister of Justice and Attorney -General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami on Thursday boost his gubernatorial ambition with N130 million as  he declared to contest Kebbi State Governorship position.

Women supporters group in the state donated N30 million while Malami Women Support Initiative (MAWOSI) donated N20 million. The two donations were announced by leader of the MAWOSI, Hajiya Halama Hassan-Tukur.

Also the association of serving councillors of the 225 wards in the state  donated N25 million while association of former members of the State House of Assembly donated N5 million. His friends and associates contributed N50 million.

Speaking at the Presidential Lodge venue of his declaration in Birnin Kebbi,  Malami said "People of the state from all nooks and crannies have been pressurising me to accept the yearnings and aspirations of coming to contest the governorship position come 2023 general elections.

"If you want me to contest governorship position of the state, I hereby accept your demands to contest, since you want me to do so".

The minister said the demands and calls from people of all different categories in the state were what made him to answer their demands and calls to contest in the state.

"We pray for Allah's guidance and assistance and may the answer to your demands and calls be the continue development of the state" he said.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in his remarks enjoined the party leaders in the state to pursue the resolution to bring aggrieved members back into the fold of the the APC.

He called on the youth to emulate the humbleness and humility of Malami as a son of Islamic teacher. "May Allah bless Malami, and we thank Almighty Allah for his contributions to people of the state. As an upright person, we will continue to pray for you," he said.
