To put paid to the rumour flying around that Barrister's son living in the USA, Adewale Akanji Barryshowkey abandoned fuji king, Saidi Osupa to his fate and pitched a tent with Shina Akanni, another great fuji musician, Barryshowkey has debunked it and said he has betrayed no one.
The news had it that the Ibadan-born singer who is currently in the United States of America did not get the utmost attention and support he expected from Seriki Adewale Akanji Barryshowkey, being a resident in the USA where he went on a musical tour, rather Akanji was busy with Shina Akanni another musician from Nigeria.
People Saidi Osupa shared the information with said, the king of music felt betrayed and abandoned by his supposed brother from Ibadan that was supposed to be there for him during his tour.
In his words, Barryshowkey said ' When Osupa arrived in the State, he did not inform me, I got to know of his arrival on social media. One thing about me is I don't poke my nose in other people's affairs, that was the reason I was on my own, but when Aare came in he told me of his coming and I find my way to his place, I believed that Aare Shina Akanni valued my companionship, and I was around him during his sojourn here in America. I have no issue with anyone, and I operate within the confine I am given with people remember we do the same trade, and if a colleague needs you, he surely knows the best way to go about it.' Barrryshowkey concluded.
Meanwhile, we scooped that Osupa was furious because Barryshowkey helped Akanni who just returned from America to get engagements in the USA but stylishly left him to his fate. Osupa, according to our source said Barryshowkey who is based in the US used his influence to get occasions where Akanni performed during his recent show in the US and abandoned him.
While speaking on this allegation, Shina Akanni said Osupa was wrong in his claim, because Barryshowkey did not help him to get any occasion to perform when he visited America recently. ' Yes, it was the truth that when I got to the US, I informed Barryshowkey of my arrival and he came to where I performed, he never helped me to get a place to perform and never got me any engagement. I had all my plans in place before I embark on the journey.'
