Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has sympathised with traders of Dadin Kowa market in Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State over the fire incident which destroyed part of the market at the weekend.
During his visit to Maiyama, the governor went round the affected stalls to assess the extent of the destruction caused by the inferno to the market.
Thereafter, he gave a donation of two million naira to the victims as an immediate intervention to provide succor and logistics to the affected traders pending assistance from the state government.
The Sarkin Kasuwa in Maiyama has commended the Governor for his immediate response and compassion for the fire victims.
Bagudu was accompanied by the Commissioner of Finance, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammed Augie and Commissioner of Animal Health and Fisheries, Hon. Aminu Garba Dandiga among others.
While on his way back to Birnin Kebbi, the governor made a stopover at Andarai town to attend to some elderly women in the community.
