The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has described the presidential ambitions of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a huge joke.
Bode George said this during an interview with The PUNCH a few hours after Tinubu informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his presidential ambition.
Tinubu, who is a former governor of Lagos State, visited President Buhari at Aso Rock on Monday, January 10, 2021.
While addressing journalists after meeting with the president, Tinubu said he has notified Buhari of his intention to run for the presidency in 2023. He added consultation is still going on and that he will declare his ambition to Nigerians soon.
Reacting to the development, Bode George said that the Presidency of Nigeria is not for characters like Bola Tinubu. Looking at how he mismanaged the resources of Lagos State.
He added that the South-West geopolitical zone is the most sophisticated in the country and can never settle for Tinubu.
The former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP concluded that Tinubu would be shocked by how things will go and how he will be double-crossed by those he is trusting.
