"The swearing - in programme was the beginning of the process that would catapult the party to greater success in 2023.From their past antecedents, the National Chairman of the party Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the Deputy National south,Ambassa dor Taofeek Arapaja, the Deputy National Secretary Arch. Setonji Koshedo and Hon Olasoji Adagunodo, who was also appointed as the Vice Chairman of PDP southwest, as well as other members of the National Working Committee from Southwest,no doubt, have the track records and political will to reclaim the glory of the party in the 2023 elections, and they have resolved to take PDP back to the winning ways,"

" I call upon all party stakeholders to work with them to ensure we achieve success in the coming elections, "
"I want to also urge our amiable governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who is the only governor of the party in southwest, as well as our father and leader of our great party Chief Olabode Ibiyinka George CON to work together in ensuring that there is peace and unity within the PDP in the southwest and Lagos in particular. Lagos state PDP appreciates the efforts of past and present leaders of the party, but it is now time to take the State to greater heights"
Balogun, however, called on the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) led by the new chairman, Senator Ayu to organise a credible congress in Lagos state, in order to usher in a new state executive of the party in Lagos.
