This was the beautiful piece written on the plaque presented to family and friends of Olabisi Oladimeji aka Labisi Ayaba, a veteran broadcaster-cum-actor who now resides in faraway America.
Bisi Ayaba, as she is fondly called by fans and radion listeners left Nigeria for the United States of America for greener pasture a few years back and despite her absence from the movie scene in her community in Lagos, yet the association counted her of being worthy of celebration during its merit awards presentations to people that have contributed one way or the other for the benefit of Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association Of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Mushin-Odi-Olowo Chapter of Lagos State.
Ayaba in her reaction when contacted on this feat, she said, "Sincerely I am glad for being given such privilege and this has made me respect the association more. Looking back at what I did over the years for the association sustainability in the area made me thank God and appreciate those that were observant of every moves by members. I believed I was just doing the normal thing a member should do to her association I never knew it would bring an award of recognition someday. I am happy and this will challenge me more to take up responsibilities for the benefit of all." She said.
