Nollywood Star, Yomi Fabiyi, has once again stated the reasons he had to shoot his new movie Oko Iyabo without mincing words or hiding under any guise as regards the name of characters on set.
On his Instagram
page, Yomi Fabiyi explained he had the moral right to use the name Oko Iyabo if
some colleagues too never bothered going on social media to attack him with
derogatory words and calling out his name over Baba Ijesa’s saga.
Fabiyi in his
words said, “In this day and age of social media, any video by an actor or
person is movie and becomes box office when it gets online. Reason everybody
must respect each others' brands and know that it can never be termed
"STUNT" or "SOCIAL MEDIA DRAMA" when an actor or person use
a camera phone by any means or app and threw caution into the wind by blatantly
CALLING OUT fellow artist with full names, an attack with reckless abandon.
"If you do so, you have lost legitimate grounds to complain morally or in court
if your FULL NAMES are equally used by any means also in retaliation or
responses. It is disgusting to see one calls the other out via social
media video apps and you kept quiet but suddenly built anger when one was done
via conventional movie recording. Are you God?”

themselves that it is only working when it favours them or their sentiments.
However, in real sense, you can only fool yourself, pretend to yourself and
mess within yourself. When you are not fair in your thoughts, judgment and
actions you know. It is a self-inflicted curse and problem in sane society.

Everybody will fight with every weapon available to them but in an event the
movie is now done in a manner that it breaches no rights or any professional ethics
as enshrined and protected under constitutional rights, only delusional and
hypocrites will pick holes. We are all humans and got blood running in our
veins. Conspiracy of silence if you fail to react to the first, you are a
menace if you do when retaliated.
SOCIAL MEDIA should not PUSH ANY ARTIST/PERSON TO RECKLESSLY CALL THE OTHER
ARTIST/PERSON FULL NAME OUT. What is good for the goose, is good for the
gander.
Equal justice and fairness is the hallmark of wisdom and dignity. If you fail
to imbibe this on any issue, check within you, you are evil, an hypocrite and a
tragedy to mankind irrespective of status or education.
