Bunmi Akinaanu, a popular gospel songstress is a year older today. She was woken up today by family, friends and fans to a surprise birthday bash.
In an exciting mood, she expressed gratitude
to God for another beautiful year in the land of the living.
The lyrical gospel Act whose sojourn in music
has spanned for more than two decades said, she will be celebrating specially
with love ones and the needy in the society as she clocks another beautiful
year today.
She said, “Family, friends, fans and my well
wishers, its my birthday, God has always been wonderful to me, please join me
as I appreciate the most High God.”
Omije Oju mi, as she is fondly called, a
banker turned Gospel Act is over forty years now. Taking up music
professionally was a decision she took having worked as a banker for sometime.
In her words, she said, "The passion to win souls for Christ through my
lyrical gospel music propelled the decision and today its been awesome to serve
God in a special way through music."
The Ondo born gospel songstress has
maintained a high standard amongst her peers, having remained one of the best
in rendering praises for Christ and winning more souls for God’s kingdom.
“My birthday always come in a special way and
that’s why its celebration is done differently by appreciating God and putting
smiles on the faces of people. I love to make me people happy, when I am
smile on the face of that person that needs you, and once that is done, the
happy, I have to appreciate God and the best way to do that is to put
Almighty is happy too and you are blessed.”
On her work, she said she is working on a
beautiful piece that will be of great impact just like the previous ones she
has to her names; such as O ti murewa, Testimony, Dabira, Ma sokun mo, Tujuka,
Alatileyin mi and a host of others.
Bunmi Akinaanu-Adeoye, has traveled far and
wide taking her music out of Nigeria's shore with fans base across the globe.
Happily married with children and waxing stronger in the house of God has she
releases ever-green gospel music to her fans across the globe.
