The
annual event will come in another form this year due to the COVID 19 guidelines put
in place by government to prevent large gathering of people. This year’s edition
would hold live on Facebook.
As the day draws nears, lyrical gospel Act, Omolara Adetola Fadare Popularly known as Lara Piccolo has assured fans and lovers of God of a more thrilling and eventful yearly praise and worship of Baba Nla.
Reacting to
why the program has become an annual thing in her life, she said, “The Mandate
was given to me six years ago by Holy Spirit to always gather people to praise
God, so this gave birth to BABA'NLA PRAISE DAY in 2014 and we have been doing
it since then.”
This year’s
event billed to hold on the 19th August 2020 will come up in a different form as
the concert would be held through Facebook. Evangelist Esther Igbekele, Michael
Akiode, Seun Ara; MI Strings and others would be live on Facebook to praise and
worship God as Piccolo holds Babanla 2020.
Piccolo in her words said, “Going down memory lane how my musical career all began, I actually started singing from church but professionally I started in 1997, but later went to Yoruba Movie industry in the year 2000 but in between I was doing doing my singing stuff alongside. I received my first award in the 2001 at the African Church Iyana Ipaja and that was where I started my Musical career
The
Imesi-Ile born gospel Act in Osun State having completed Primary and secondary school
later proceeded to Study Music Technology in
Polytechnic Ibadan.
To her name, she has the following albums; 120 Highest Praises, ORI, BABA'NLA and KABIYESI ELEDUMARE.
