The popular comedian and a veteran in the Yoruba movie genre, and Ajirebi by stage name said in a video on Instagram page of another popular actor Kunle Hafod that, "Funke Akindele did well for me when I was distressed. My apartment was always filled with flood at the wake of rainfall. Kunle Hafod knew about this and put it to the public. Funke Akindele did well by coming to my rescue and asked me to look for a rented apartment which she paid for.
She didn't buy a house for me as it was reported in some media platform.
Kayode Olaseyinde a.k.a.Pa James said God will keep you for helping me, i didn’t know people cared about me like this….I can’t thank you enough…for doing this to me while i am alive….to my fellow actors, you impressed me…..and thank you to Funke AKindele, i won’t lie she did me well….but i need to clear the air on the reports that she bought me a house,,,while passing on my street this morning, some area boys stopped me and hailed me saying they will visit me in the house Funke Akindele built for me…..and i was shocked….Funke only paid for an apartment for me to rent for the meantime……and i am truly grateful but she didn’t build me a house….”"I am still a tenant and I would like to use this opportunity to appreciate Funke for her kind gesture and the following people, KUNLE Hafod, Ibrahim Chatha, Toyin Abraham and her husband and many more amongst my colleagues in Nollywood.
Also, I would like to say a big thank you to fans from far and near that came to my rescue at the wake of the incident.
"I thank God for the gift of life and the opportunity of having people that came to help in this time of distress."
Ajirebi submitted that the flood had been a problem that caused him incessant high blood pressure but better now having gotten a place he could lay his head with family.
