President of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria, Pretty Okafor has disowned the Controversial rapist 'Governor' of the association in Kwara State, Alhaji Maroof Adebayo better known as Maroof Alujo.
Okafor, in a disclaimer letter made available to Newsmen in Lagos, stated that the said Fuji musician has been parading himself illegally as the state Governor and illegally empowered to do so by one Casmir Obi who has since been expelled.

The letter signed by the Association's General Secretary, Boniface Itodo reads in part,
"The attention of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) ably led by Mr.Pretty Okafor has been drawn to a publication linking one popular Fuji musician in person of Maroof Alujo, accused of raping a 15-year-old Girl in Kwara State where the said musician resides. We must inform the general public that Maroof Alujo has been operating illegally as PMAN Governor of Kwara state chapter, illegally empowered by one expelled Casmir Obi  (Uncle P) and his cohorts to perpetrate illegality in Kwara State. The PMAN leadership headed by Pretty Okafor do not have representation of persons with questionable character across state chapters.
We learnt Mr Maroof Adebayo is currently in Police net for raping a 15year old girl name withheld in Kwara State.
Meanwhile, a close source to Alhaji Maroof Alujo, name withheld said, "Maroof Alujo isn't the state's governor, rather he is the PMAN chairman in Offa, Kwara state. There has been misunderstanding between him and some people over the association's politics, and this could have facilitated the problem he has found himself, but it's hard for us to believe that he could have done such."
All efforts to speak with Maroof Alujo proved abortive as his number given to us was not available
