FEMI ADEBAYO'S EXCLUSIVE! THE LOVE I HAVE FOR OGA BELLO MADE ME PICK ACTING AS A CAREER PLUS MORE...

He is one of the best Actors we have around today; whose trace in the make-believe world could be linked to a distinguished personality, Otunba Adebayo Salami, also known as Oga Bello, a Living Legend who has really done well for himself.
Femi Adebayo a.k.a Jelili with other names like Sonto, Etiko Onigedu, Kodi Ologbon  and many more,
Despite being a successful Actor, this Ilorin born star is a barrister at law, a graduate from The University of Ilorin.
Femi picked up his career in acting having done well for himself with great skill as he featured in Owo Blow, an evergreen movie that shot him to limelight many years back, though a young boy then.
Recently, he was on a TV program where he let people into his world touching different things he has been engaged in profitably and what he intends to do in the nearest future.
Being a producer and an Actor that has featured very well in different home movies and cinemas, irrespective of language, Femi Adebayo said he is always very comfortable to produce his own movie where he would have all the time and opportunity to showcase his hidden talents that people aren't aware of.
He said,
You could showcase yourself differently and exclusively in your own movie, this could be seen in some movies I produced, Jelili, Sonto Alapata, Eletiko and many more. My characters in those film gave people the opportunity to see a different Femi Adebayo Salami. It was not the usual ‘fine boy’, refined educated fellow or other aspects I have been known with. In those movies, I was a different person and of course, it paid well.
Speaking on endorsement, he said, actors should be an ambassador that adds value to the brands he/she represents.
He stressed further, that going into brand ambassadorial depends on what a player wants, it could be for many reasons, it could be for money, love, belief it all depends on one's decision.
I fell in love with acting because of the love I have for my dad. I love him and I have always wanted to be like him, this is what drove me into acting and the story has been very beautiful
To be honest, we are no match to Actors outside overseas, we are just coming but in terms of talent we are better, supposing we have an enabling environment; we could do better than them. Our movies are more seen and watched in cinemas than foreign movies.
In his reaction to grants given by government, Jelili, as he is popularly known, said, “The last administration tried but the issue is just like a drop of water in an ocean. What the administration gave out then as grants didn’t go round, it was just like a drop of water in an ocean, if the government could do more, it would go round and  we could match any other movie Acts in the world”
These days, Actors are taking political appointments and even contesting and winning election, Femi Adebayo said, the feat is a welcome development because it would give those in make-believe world leverage to rub shoulders with those in power and be a better channel to better the lives of their members in areas that concerns their profession.
He added, “We want more of our people in politics, and our aim is to use the office we are in today to make life better for our industry, those that are in politics one way or the other.”
He also advised actors to move closer to government so that, its dividends could come to them as well.
Why he set up J15 School of performance, he said, (It is a citadel of learning where we groom people to become great actors and be good professionals in other areas of entertainment.  We train people on how to act and how to manage stardom.”
Looking into the future, Femi Adebayo said another blockbuster would soon hit the entertainment soon with a title  Survival of Jelili.
“It is coming soon, its a rebrand of Jelili, and it is going to be awesome. People would see a transformed Jelili that can communicate well in English and be well appreciated by elites. It will soon be in the Cinemas.
