COVID-19 PALLIATIVES: KWARA GOVERNOR REACHES OUT TO HIS PEOPLE

The Kwara state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq earlier today attended the flag off ceremony of Ilorin Emirate palliatives distribution to 10,000 beneficiaries to assuage the hardship occasioned by the lockdown with a view to containing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Governor whose father is the Mutawali of Ilorin since assuming office last May has actively participated in all the functions of Ilorin Emirate Descendants' Progressive Union (IEDPU) with all sense of responsibility and pride as a proud son of the soil.
It will be recalled that the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari over a week ago launched and constituted the Ilorin Emirate Palliatives Committee to help both indigenes and residents of the Emirate who must have gone through tough times during the lockdown period.
AbdulRahman who recently commended the action of the Offa community for their own efforts, encouraged other community-based organisations to take a cue from IEDPU to consolidate the efforts of the government to help the vulnerable members of the society during this period.
