CORONAVIRUS IN NIGERIA, IFAWOLE OBA EDU PLANS TO APPEASE GODS

As he plans to celebrate his annual Odun Ifa this weekend, Ifawole Egbeyemi, Oba Edu of Isolo land  in Lagos has said that its an avenue to seek for God’s protection against the outbreak of the disease in Nigeria.

He said, “There is nothing under the sun that Olodumare cannot cure with the great power He has bestowed on Ifa Olokun elerii-ipin, the great divination.

“What we need now is to seek for Olodumare’s protection against any form of disease outbreak in our land. We need to appease Olodumare so that diseases in whatever forms either imported or those we are already conversant with are put in check.

“This year’s edition with what is happening in the nation today; we will pray together so that peace and tranquillity can return to Yoruba land and Nigeria as a whole. This country needs peace, our economy needs to be revived and we need to seek for His protection against the outbreak of disease that we have never heard of.  Everybody needs God and that is what we intend to do in our own way.”

He stressed further that, to commemorate this year’s edition, Alhaji Suleiman Alao Malaika will be at the bandstand to celebrate with him as the event holds this weekend.

In his words, Oba Edu, Ifawole Egbeyemi said, “This year’s edition will come in a different style. 2020 is a unique year, hence we intend to appreciate  Olodumare (God) whose mercy upon us has never waned. Also, Odun Ifa as the name goes is an event where we appease and celebrate Ifa Olokun, our great divination.”

Oba Edu stressed further that, part of the event is the featuring of Egungun Alaragbo to make the event more unique and memorable.

To fans and music lovers, Sule Alao Malaika will perform live with other culturally inclined side attractions.

It could be recalled that the 2020 Odun Ifa and Egungun Alaragbo festival by the Egbeyemi family of Isolo land in Lagos would be the 15th edition.

Ifawole Adisa added that “The event is all about celebrating Olodumare, our creator and also appreciating Elerii-ipin, that is Ifa divination whose presence at the point of conception of every man is pivotal.

The annual Odun Ifa will commence on Thursday 5th of March with different rites to appease gods, while on the 6th of March, 2020, Alhaji Sule Malaika will thrill fans and well-wishers at Classic Arena Hotel, AIT Road, Benefactor street, Bakery Bus stop, Lagos. On Saturday, Egungun Alaragbo would round it off by offering prayers and special appearance.

The event shall have the following people in attendance, AbdulKabir Adelaja Agbabiaka; Osolo of Isolo Kingdom; Oba Samuel Awoyemi Oroja, Onimeiran of Meiran Kingdom, Alhaji Rasaq Adeleke Agbaowo, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya M.C Oluomo, the national chairman fo NURTW, Lagos chapter, Alhaji Ganiyu Ayinde a.k.a Koko Zaria and a host of others.
