AHMAD ALAWIYE AND OTHERS RETURN TO ISMAN *SAYS, I WANT HISTORY TO SAY GOOD ABOUT ME

History was made few days ago when top Islamic Act, Alhaaji Ahmad Alawiye and other 12 Board of Trustees member of PISMAN as they deserted their new association and found their ways back to ISMAN.

Ahmad ALAWIYE who led some members out of the association some years back was also the same person that persuaded some to drop their affiliation to PISMAN and returned back to their base.  

The memorable event which took place in Lagos on Monday has been a source of discourse in the Islamic Music world.  Majority of those who got wind of the development have been sending words of commendation to the Islamic Acts who did abandon their different egos and choose the line of peace by returning to their source, Islamic Musician Association of Nigeria.

ALAWIYE in his words said, "It was quite unfortunate that we had to leave our great association some years back, we left because there was no longer a sense of belonging, but today; having realized that the best a man could do is to always maintain ties between people, family, friends, association and its likes, then the needful became inevitable. I led many out of the organization a few years back and when I realized I still had the opportunity to take them back to the fold, the necessary step was taken and today, we are back to our source.

We took the decision bilahi-wa-rosuli (we did it for God and His messenger) because the Holy Qur’an frowns at severing ties, hence we have retraced our steps and in shaa Allahu, we are back for good.

The God that we worship is one, Islam is one and our association as a musician is also one. I am back, my fellow that are progressives are back and we want to say a big thank you to All and Sundry for their support and words of commendations...we say thank you all ”

About 13 strong members of PISMAN, an association formed at the wake of a political discord amongst members of ISMAN some years back are all back.  The aggrieved ones in company of Ahmad Alawiye, Modinat Baritide and others left the association to form PISMAN.

The returnees are as follows; Ahmad Alawiye, Medinat baritide, Rukayat Basirimi; Wabillah Taofik; Saheed Ololade; Ishola kuku; Malam iskil; Sulaiman Abiwere; Mummy Tj; Kewulere Ewa Islam; Lateefah omobulala; Imole from Ayobo; Musa Asoburi; Ibroheem Labaika; Ahmad Omo Abiyi and others.

In another development, Alhaja Modinat Asabi Baritide is now the national Amira for ISMAN while Alhaji Mumeen Damilola remains the President for the association.
