Nigerians are among the
422
foreigners that will face deportation from Italy soon.
We learnt that 422 foreigners will be expelled in the
coming days in Padua. The prosecutor's
office sent the immigration police the names of 142 Nigerians who received a
residence permit thanks to fake employment contracts.
The sentence was issued last Tuesday by the
court that sentenced a Nigerian and a labor consultant for aiding illegal
immigration. The Nigerian, owner of 2
kebabs, pretended to hire countrymen, handed the files over to the consultant
and the fake assumption then went to the immigration to request residence
documents on the basis of a false certificate.
Having discovered the deception and dubious
trick, the immigration office will now have to find the 142 Nigerians and
proceed with their expulsion.
This group is to be joined by another 280
foreigners who over the past few years have obtained Italian documents always
on the basis of false certificates issued by lawyers, labor consultants or
unfaithful policemen.
All the people involved in abetting and aiding
the business of falsification of documents to procure resident permit for
immigrants are now all on trial.
