Segun Adewale, a.k.a Aeroland has debunked the news that
went viral that he assaulted a lady during the gubernatorial election in Lagos.
As monitored on a national radio (Rainbow FM,) this morning Otunba
Segun Adewale said, I never touched any woman as claimed in the news (Not De.Reportorial)
I wasn’t out to buy vote as claimed in the news that went viral, how can I buy
vote for somebody who was not willing to win, Jimi Agbaje was not willing to
win because he was not serious with the election. We went into the election without
a dime, and the money in question was meant to pay Agents, this he never released
to us and it worked against the party in the state.
“Agbaje the PDP aspirant in Lagos called us and told us he
had no money for the election, meanwhile gubernatorial election takes a lot of
money. This man refused to give us money; not even as little as ten thousand naira
(N10,000) for party Agents. He wasn’t serious about his ambition, though I wasn’t
happy with the situation because we weren’t getting positive cooperation from
who we were working for.”
Aeroland as he is fondly called added that, “He wasn’t willing
to win and we lost. On the issue of hitting a woman, that was not true. I respect
women and I have over 400 staff, women are given priority in my companies, I have
been working with my wife for over 25 years and she has been paying my salary.
The case reported by BBC pidgin that I hit a woman was a lie, Though in the
video I might have over reacted, I am sorry; I Segun Adewale wasn’t like that,
though I over-reacted but I didn’t hit any woman, if anybody has the video; I am
willing to pay 1million naira to whoever has it. I respect people especially women
and that reactions by me that day wasn’t me. I got tensed up but I never hit
anybody.”
