She is medical personnel; though vast
in the act of lyrical gospel music. Olubukola Osineye started off at a tender
age and in a couple of years, her quest for musical evangelism developed
rapidly and made her a force to reckon with.
Tomorrow 17th of February, 2019 will
mark a special day in her life as she is set to host an event tagged
Thanksgiving and Praise. In this interview, Bukola O di Testimony as she is
fondly called has this to say:
ABOUT ME…
My name is Oluwabukola Osineye a.k.a
O di Testimony. I got the alias based on some experiences I went through
sometimes back. It was a trying period for me, but God was there for me and
that name, O di Testimony, means, it has become Testimony.
I started very early as a church
Choir at Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT); then, I was eight years
old. I joined choir group back home in Ode-Omu, my home town in Osun state. My
mum is a Deaconess, a strong believer of Christ, she is also a Prophetess;
this made me more of a church girl with passion to serve God.
By the time I was ten, I had the
opportunity to lead the choir group in church. That was how it all started; and
by the time I was 15, I joined the main choir and gradually music became part
of me and after some years I went into it fully as an Evangelist of Christ.
MY CALL WAS
FROM GOD
I got my call to forge ahead fully
in gospel music years back and God has been wonderful because He did call me
and His unflinching support has kept me on despite everything, even beyond my
expectation.
There was a Prophecy that I will set
up a ministry where His praise shall be my core call, this vision came even
before I got married sometime in 1992/93. I was told then that when the time is
ripe, God will give me a sign. When the time came; I got the message during my
visit to a mountain for prayer.
I was told that God said I should
leave whatever I am doing and propagate His words. I couldn’t bear it having to
abandon my professional call just like that. I am a qualified Nurse; I
graduated from Federal School of Nursing, Eleyele, Ibadan.
When the message came I was working
with Catholic Hospital in Maryland, Lagos. I did heed His words and this made
me formed a group and we started gradually.
MY PLAN TO
FLOAT A FREE HEALTH CENTRE
Despite that, I still practice while
I major in the call to serve God and part of my plan is to set up a free Health
Centre where people will be treated free. This is a way to reach out to the
less-privilege and make life meaningful for them and others in the society.
MUSIC AND MY FAMILY
I have a wonderful family that is
always in support of my career. My husband takes me to show for performance.
Anytime he is free, he attends event with me; and the children have always been
a source of joy and supportive as well.
WHAT I HAVE
BROUGHT TO THE TABLE
Today, what we see as regards gospel
music is in different form. We have meaningful ones and lewd music that is not
supposed to come from someone with the tag, Gospel Act!
I have people I always see as great
mentors whose music remain inspirational all time. Mama Bola Are is number one
among these great children of God whose quest is to make people see reason why
God is important. Mama Bola Aare is my Mentor, my mummy and a good role model,
she has been consistent in her model of singing and this is what made Mama
stand out.
There are many songs out there but
inspirational music will always have its cognizance among those that are
blessed in spirit.
I DON’T SING
OTHER PEOPLE’S SONG I COMPOSE MY SONGS
I believe in inspirational
creativity. As a gospel Act who has the hands of God in what she does, my music
is pure; I don’t go about picking people’s songs. I listen to my God and in
return He has always made it possible for me to sing and win souls for His
kingdom. My music makes people think about God, it makes people get out of
boredom with a message that God lives in every soul if you allow him residency.
I sing my song and copy no one.
HOW I GOT INSPIRED
I don’t just sing; there’s always
communication between my God and I, when the inspiration comes, I put it down
as it comes and make good of it. I have a guarding Angel that goes
with me in my career as a Gospel Act, and whenever the Angel comes with special
numbers from God, I will put it in record and make good use of it.
MY SPECIAL
PLAN FOR FEBRUARY 17TH 2019
February 14th is my date of birth,
but this year; I want to do a special thanks giving on the 17th, while I
celebrate my birthday as well. I want to appreciate God for the second chance
He has given me. I had an experience recently and God made me came out of it
unscathed. With this; He is worthy of praise.
Gospel Acts from far and near shall
all gather to celebrate with me. I have good numbers of them that will be
present.
The event shall come up at number 8,
K&S Bus stop, Abaranje, Ikotun Lagos at the church premises, The Gospel
Faith Mission International, GOFAMINT LOVE ASSEMBLY, IKOTUN.
ABOUT MY MAIDEN ALBUM
I am working on my maiden album that
will be out this year, though I have got 2 singles, but the real album with
lots of messages for every Creature of God irrespective of religious
inclination will be release soon. The title of the album is ERI MI with five
tracks. Ihin Ailopin, Oba ni o Jesu; Mo ti de Jesu and others.
MY EXPERIENCE
SO FAR…
I have a lot to say, but I thank God
having gone through it and survived, we praise God.
In the course of singing His praise
and evangelizing the coming back of Jesus, I have lots of stories to tell, but
He healed me!
Glory to God!
