Popular broadcaster, Alhaja Kafayat Adeola Orisile in recognition of her selfless service to humanity, home town and state, was bestowed the Erelu Afedesewa of Oruba –Otta, Awori land, Ogun State.
Alayeluwa, Oba Wadudu Ajani Eniade Deinde, the Akogun of Oruba–Otta, Awori land on Tuesday made the pronouncement when Orisile visited the palace.
Oba Deinde said Adeola Orisile is one of the shining glories that God has given Awori race adding that bequeathing her with a remarkable chieftaincy title is a show of appreciation and encouragement.
The royal father who was full of joy also stated that the new Erelu Afedesewa has in her chosen career brought glory to not just Otta but to the entire Awori land and its people. “She has been a good Awori ambassador promoting our cultural heritage all the time,” Kabiyesi said.
In her response to the title, the popular Radio Lagos presenter said she was humbled with the revered title of Erelu-Afedesewa bestowed on her.
“I am humbled and honoured with a revered noble chieftaincy title, Erelu-Afedesewa of Oruba Otta bestowed on me; it is with deep gratitude that I accept this massive honour from his royal majesty,” she said.
Elated Orisile said “It is exceptionally amazing to see that the community and most importantly the highly respected royal institution of Oruba-Otta, Awori land recognized my little contribution to the development and growth of our land.
“I hereby promise that, the title, Erelu-Afedesewa of Oruba Otta, Awori land, will not only strengthens my zeal and desire to contribute immensely to the growth of the land but will increase my motivation to be more involved in the agitation for a common goal of the land; a united and prosperous Oruba Otta, Awori land.”
Appreciating the honour, Orisile promised to display a deep sense of obligation with full strength commitment and loyalty to the throne, Oruba-Otta and the entire Awori land.
“I deeply appreciate your magnanimous gesture and in all virtue shall display sense of obligation with full strength commitment and loyalty to the throne and to the land,” she said.
