One of the aspirants, who claimed anonymity in his submission while speaking to us said, “In the history of PDP, we have never had this type of issue before. Some disgruntled elements that claimed to be leaders of our party are taking the path of APC by wanting to impose candidates as the use of primary election.”
He said, “This can never bring any good to the party, the primaries for those contesting for Assembly, House of representative and Senate have been put on hold since yesterday. What we have now is imposition, and this can never go down well, because it could ruin the chance our great party might have in the next poll.
“We are using this medium to call on concerned lovers of our great party to prevail on the so called leaders from Abuja that want to ruin and cause chaos amongst PDP members in Lagos. It is primary election that we crave for, let each and everyone go out there to test his or her popularity, the era of imposition is no more, even APC that has its story did not, why must we toe the line of destruction now that we have a better chance of having a successful outing in 2019.
“If we could organized a decent primary with the emergence of Atiku Abubakar in Abuja and other aspirants that never made are willing to work for him, why must we now ruin our beautiful chance in Lagos” He posited.
It was established that delegates sent to the area from Abuja were nowhere to be found having stayed over 24 hours at the centre for the primary that is not view.
One of the aggrieved member said One Princess Ogundiran was behind the whole mess aspirants are facing in the area having been induced with money by some money bags.
It could be recalled that the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary was supposed to hold yesterday in all 20 local government in Lagos, but till this moment, there’s apprehension amongst its members as there’s no concrete resolution on what the party would use for its primary election for the intending Legislators in the state.
