RUKA GAWAT, ISLAMIC GOSPEL ACT ORGANISES QUR'AN COMPETITION

In a bid to promote Islamic and Arabic knowledge amongst Muslim children, Alhaja Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso has organized a competition on Quran quiz and the recitation of the holy Quran meant to hold in Lagos.
In a statement signed by the Sheikha and Queen of Music in general, she said the recitation of the Quran is of two categories. The first category comprises children within the age bracket of 8-10 years, while second category will be 11 to 18 years.
Also, she said Quran Quiz competition is meant for adult male and female with good prizes for winners in all the competition.
"My quest as Islamic songstress is the propagation of Islam amongst the young and old. Recitation of the Quran and having the full knowledge of Islam must be an important stride in the life of every Muslims. We want to reach out to children by encouraging them on the need to be conscious of the importance of the Quran, because in the holy Quran is the details of what shall be of this earth that we dwell today and the hereafter. Meanwhile, adult too are part of the program, that is the quiz competition and the motive for this is understanding our religion Islam." She explained.
The event will come up on the 25th July at Ansarudeen Mosque, 25 Coker street mushin, Lagos.
