The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has praised Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, for his financial and moral support to families of military personnel killed in recent insurgent attacks.

In a statement issued by its chairman, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi/Betara Biu, the foundation lauded the governor’s donation of ₦150 million to the families of three slain officers. Each family received ₦50 million as part of efforts to cushion the impact of their loss and demonstrate the state’s commitment to those who served the nation.

The foundation noted that Governor Zulum personally visited the families of the late Lieutenant Colonels Umar Farouq, Salihu Iliyasu, and Aliyu Saidu Paiko across Abuja, Niger, and Kano States, where he extended condolences and paid tribute to their courage, patriotism, and sacrifice.

According to the statement, the foundation’s Grand Patron, Tukur Yusufu Buratai, also commended the governor for his continued dedication to the welfare of citizens, particularly families affected by the insurgency.

Buratai, a retired Lieutenant General, expressed sympathy to the bereaved families and acknowledged the sacrifices made by the fallen officers and other military personnel in the ongoing fight against insurgency.

During the visits, Governor Zulum reiterated his administration’s resolve to support families of fallen heroes, including the provision of scholarships for their orphaned children. He also pledged to extend similar gestures to other affected families, emphasizing a sustained commitment to their welfare.
