The Governor of Kebbi state, Comrade Nasir Idris, has recommended a comprehensive psychiatric diagnosis for those who alleged his planned defection from the All progressives Congress (APC) and betray President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to Abdullahi Idris Zuru, the
Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, the Governor was speaking during a congratulatory and solidarity visit to him by the stakeholders of the party, shortly after this year's International Workers Day celebration said his detractors had mischievously alledged that he was part of a plan to defect from the APC and betrayed President Tinubu. He said this was a clear exhibition of insanity resulting from possible psychiatric challenge
He further explained that the All Progressive Congress (APC) remains his first and last chosen political party, and President Tinubu remains his leader and the presidential candidate of the people of Kebbi State in 2027.
"I'm not use to political prostitution".The Governor disclosed that his relationship with President Tinubu was beyond politics but that of a caring father and reliable leader who has not only been supportive to him as state Governor but also consciously allocated many viable socio-economic development programmes and projects in Kebbi State, much more than some states.
He advised his perpetrators of the carwardly act of frustration and hopelesness to instead of creating an illusionary conflict of interest, subject themselves to a holistic psychiatric diagnosis for medical solution before they move to the streets.
The Governor was reacting to a recent publication in some media platforms where some faceless politicians alleged that he and four other All Progressive Congress (APC) will defect from the party if President Tinubu did not replace Khashim Shetima in 2027.
Earlier in his brief remarks, the state chairman of the All Progressive Congress Abubakar kana Zuru has told the governor that they were at his residence to congratulate him on the celebration of the international Workers Day by virtue of his position as an international acknowledged labour leader.
He used the occasion to tell the governor not to lose sleep over the mischievous allegations stressing that "APC is deeply rooted and wholeheartedly supported by both the party leaders, non-partisan respected elders and the generality of the people of Kebbi State who have remained resolute and unshakeable in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Comrade Nasir Idris under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress.
