Two hundred and ten (210) candidates from Kebbi State took part in the common entrance examination into Federal government colleges and unity secondary schools in the country on Saturday.

The chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) , Professor Sulaiman Khalid who heads the state's supervision and monitoring team for the examination said the 210 candidates that wrote the exams were drawn from the four Emirates of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

He said the examination took place in four centres, Birnin Kebbi, Argungu, Yauri and Zuru areas of the state. "The number of our candidates in next year examination would be much higher than the 210 that took part in the exams this year", he said.

He said the common entrance examination went as expected except for little delay in the arrival of the candidates coming from other local government areas for the exam in Birnin Kebbi . "But with the understanding of the invigilators, they were able to write the common entrance examination", he said.

He also commended the education secretaries and other officials from the State Ministry of Education for the smooth conduct of the common entrance examination at the various centres in the state.
