Kebbi approves N967m sch fees for 20,908 indigent students

Governor Nasiru Idris of Kebbi State has approved the sum of N967,685,854 as school fees for indigent students in various tertiary institutions at within and outside the country.

While briefing journalists, the Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isah Abubakar Tunga said the N967,685,854 school fees was for the year 2022/2023 academic session.

He said it was in line with the government vision and mission to transform higher education in the state and ensure the youth benefits in the agenda of the current political dispensation by sponsoring students within and outside the country for the educational development of the state.

He commended the Governor over what he described as laudable gesture. "This will pave way for our youth to prosper intellectually and make Kebbi State a great state", he said
