The Golden Movie Ambassadors Association of Nigeria (TGMAAN), an association of Nollywood movie makers with the vision of rebuilding, rebranding and restructuring of the Nigerian movie industry on Sunday 23rd of July 2023 celebrated the birthday of the 100 year old Nigerian actor, Pa Charles Olumọ a.k.a Àgbákò. This is part of the association's welfare intervention for veteran practitioners.
Actors and film practitioners spoke glowingly about the veteran actor at the colorful event.
The The play that got Olumọ his first stint as an actor was titled ‘Joseph and his Brethren’ at a church in 1953, but after gaining experience and popularity amongst many locals, the actor was encouraged to start his own theatre group.
He has since featured in blockbusters like, Taxi Driver, Aiye, Jayesinmi, Amin Orun, Saworoide, Jagun and many more.
